James started his career as a recruitment professional in the early 2000’s and has worked for a variety of organisations since, which is the source of what makes Ellison Coast different as James has first hand experience of what does and doesn’t work for customers.
Away from business James is a Spartan race competitor as well as competing annually in other extreme sporting events to raise money for charity. In 2025 he ran over 100kms through the Sahara to raise money for veterans. In the same year he also completed a UK ultra marathon on behalf of a children’s charity. Next, in January 2027 he will be running over 100kms through Swedish Lapland to raise money for 4 UK Cancer Charities
“I’m lucky that having my own business gives me the freedom to train for and compete in these events that take time to be ready for. I’m also lucky that I have the support of my family, otherwise I couldn’t do them at all! Ultimately, as well as keeping me fit, these events prove what any regular person can accomplish if they start by saying “yes” and then giving something their all.”
Ellison Coast is the business representation of James philosophy, be transparent and honest, value and be grateful for those that support you, work hard to be proud of yourself and do something that matters. James has spoken at various events on behalf of companies including Google.
